It's grimly ironic that Christians of her type imagine homosexuals have somehow been corrupted or deluded, when in fact it is they themselves who have been indoctrinated from birth.
But still, I don't see why homosexuality should even be an issue. It's a sign of the spiritual poverty of the church that some individuals and factions continue to devote so much time to 'combatting' it, when there are so many real problems in the world that could be dealt with.

But still, I don't see why homosexuality should even be an issue. It's a sign of the spiritual poverty of the church that some individuals and factions continue to devote so much time to 'combatting' it, when there are so many real problems in the world that could be dealt with.
Earlier this evening I saw the article on BBC News about India lifting its laws on criminalising gay sex. At the end of the article we cut to a Catholic priest claiming that he was concerned that this would lead to an increase in paedophilia. Oh the hypocrisy!

Oh the hypocrisy! It's not the least bit hypocritical if he was heterosexual. Matt, repeat this (true) statement: "The overwhelming majority of children molested by Catholic priests were boys." Ok, now that you remember the truth I want you to associate those thousands of incidents of child molestation at the hands of priests with homosexuals, ok? It's ok, Matt, the truth will set you free.

I agree that morals are getting flushed down the toilet nowadays.
BUT
What I don't agree with is the "Holy Image" the conservatives and these hardcore Christians try to paint of themselves.
They say that morals are basically non-present anymore, but then they're the kinda people who walk around with their pockets fat, thinking they're better than anybody, just because they have money. BB, you pretty much described the "impostor" Christian in 2 Timothy 3. I realise that there are some people who do live by Christian morals, go to church, are respectful and nice, do the Lord's will and try to help. And those are the kind the world hates. 2 Timothy 3:12 Say a who with what where?
