Been off the net for awhile and now find more MP4 videos that won't play on my windows media player classic. Anyone know how to make this happen? They played some time ago, but I had a major computer melt down. HELP.. any help would be appreciated.

probably a codec thing.

you might need the fancy new h/x264 codec.

Try FFDShow. I use it and it works fine. I use 3 different media players with it.

thanks for your help guys but nothing works.Evan tried reinstalling WMP classic still nothing. I'm at a loss.

Why not use VLC media player.

in mpc try > options>internal filters and make sure the internal mp4/mov filter is enabled.
if you use ffdshow, then uncheck the mp4/mov box

Ok, gave up on the WMP and downloaded the VLC player. Now everything works. Thanks for all the help guys.
