Intelligent Design? Or the ad hoc development of evolution? cdesign proponentsists believe that we were created by a perfect yet non-specific intelligent designer... any engineer that created such poor designs would be unworthy of the role.
Perhaps you should throw in your nomination for the role of supreme intelligent designer matt, since you claim to know how everything works, the human genome, the whole bit...better than God... how stem cells activate to become fingers or ears...well you get my drift.
I've yet to see anything or anyone come even remotely near the precision of designing complex body parts/organs such the human eye or the brain.
Science and technogical advances have done wonderful things to improve the quality of of amputees, visually or hearing impaired people. But it has a long, long, long way to go before it could even come remotely close to the handiwork of the Creator.

Ironic how much thought, resources and effort must be put in to mimicking mere chance...
I wonder how the many scientists involved would feel if they were not credited for their amazing skill in creating these "spare parts". Probably hurt. Even insulted.
But that's just circular logic. Duh! How stupid of me!

Isn't it amazing? Such a simple concept: random change with natural selection to advance the beneficial ones and weed out the detrimental ones. Quite a few scientists might even admire a creator who might set up such a system. Of course, if you want something beneficial in less time than the millions of years which we have overwhelming evidence has occurred, you need to put in a little more effort. But hey, you can keep believing some old guy up in the clouds did it all in six days then put all this evidence everywhere to mess with our heads.
By the way, scientists discover. Engineers create!

FIFY
Shall we remind ourselves of a little quote from Michael Behe, senior fellow of The UNDiscovery Institute and cdesign proponentsists top advocate?
"there are no peer reviewed articles by anyone advocating for intelligent design supported by pertinent experiments or calculations which provide detailed rigorous accounts of how intelligent design of any biological system occurred."
In fact, so that the cdesign proponentsists on this board don't forget it, I'm going to make it my signature.
