The lyrics to his 2001 song "Unbreakable" seem rather hollow now. frown

You can't believe it, you can't concieve it
And you can't touch me, 'cause I'm untouchable
And I know you hate it, and you can't take it
You'll never break me, 'cause I'm unbreakable

Let me first say that even though everyone is allowed their opinion, but to bring up all a man's faults right after his death in a forum where fans are expressing their sympathy is uncalled for. It makes me sick! I hope that nobody trashes your life right after you die.

I was 5 years old when Thriller was released. I remember his record Grammy total in 1984. I remember the Jackson 5 Victory Tour. I used to have a Jackson 5 picture book. I remember when his hair caught on fire filming a Pepsi commercial. I had stickers of Michael and Jermain on my lunch box. And yes, to this day, I still have the original tape of Thriller. I might even play it tomorrow in his memory.

A true entertainment legend has passed away today. My generation's Elvis. His legacy will live on forever.

Well said MaestroDawg. I too had the albums (still have the "files" and original vinyl) and am hearing "Beat It" in the background and remembering 1982 all over again, wishing I was 11 again.

I just woke up and this is what I discover...
Michael Jackson AND Farrah Fawcett, in the same day?

I'm at a loss for words here...

I have all his solo albums since 1979 on CD; I may wind up listening to one of them later tonight or tomorrow. frown

2 greats gone in one day - 1 from the acting world & 1 from the music world.

To see Michael now gone is heartbreaking for me, being that I grew up on his music & his dancing. He's a idol for me & was the guy who inspired my love for rhythmic dance, my dream of wanting to be a choreography once I got older. Not only that, Thriller was the first CD I ever owned & now that Mike has passed, his music, his body of work, & the legacy he left behind takes on a whole new meaning.

I can say that every time I saw his name dragged through the mud by the media & press, it really hurt. I, for one, didn't believe any of the accusations that they made against him.

To all of his millions of fans, to his family, & to all of those who were inspired by him, I say that my thoughts & prayers are definitely with them all.

R.I.P. Michael There will never be another artist like him, only those who were inspired by him, touched by his life, & his work will carry on his music until the end of time.

R.I.P. Farrah You were an 'Angel' on TV & now you're in a better place as a true Angel, Heaven has it's missing one.

I agree, though I do remember more than a few disparging nasty remarks were made a few years ago towards the Reverand Jerry Falwell when he passed away and it was allowed to be posted.

Though I wasn't much of a fan of Micheal Jackson, he was indeed loved by millions and millions of fans world wide...I sincerely hope he has finally found the peace he could not find in this life.

RIP Micheal.

I can't say I was the biggest fan, maybe I was too young, but my gosh, his music is amazing and that is what he should be remembered for. Not for anything else negative that happened, just like everyone who passes.

RIP, Michael. You will be missed.

While I am all for opinions and people being able to state them, disrespecting someone's memory - especially so soon after he has passed - just shows how little the world cares these days. Let people mourn him for a bit before you throw hatred around. Think about the people who Michael left behind, his parents, his siblings and his three children, not to mention his friends and legions of fans.

Despite what he did in his personal life, look at what he accomplished professionally. No one will ever top that.
