it's better than that stiff. The team had given up, he wouldnn't play drogba, had youngins on the bench and wouldn't play them.

I think there's all sorts of problems with the squad; the front line being merely the worst example. Anelka and Drogba don't want to play together - bang goes the idea of switching to 4-4-2 - and no other senior strikers at the club, Di Santo and Ben Sahar being the only other viable alternatives.

Or you could play Kalou through the middle in a 4-4-2. But he's crap.

As for not giving youngsters the chance, there are no real prospects there. Stoch and Di Santo maybe, but who after that? Mancienne? He won't get ahead of Alex or Ivanovic, so he won't be seen anytime soon in any first team games - despite being recalled from his loan spell.

It's pretty obvious some of the senior players had given up.
