Will the formatting of the individual picture pages be changed? My computer is sick so I've saved more than a week of URL's to pages I want to capture once I'm running at full capacity again. So if I go to those URL's, will they work after the upgrade? Thanks in advance for the reply. I'm fairly new to the forum. Look forward to seeing what you have in store for the upgrade.

It costs quite a bit of money for the upgrade that we need plus it will take some time to actually do the upgrade. It isn't done by anyone that you know from here, so there could be lots of reasons why it isn't possible for him to do it over the next week, the Christmas holidays being the most obvious reason.

All URL's etc should be the same  It's basically just the new version of the current forum software that we're getting, so the performance of it should be a lot smoother and there shouldn't be any problems when using the search function

It isn't a week. Monday - Tuesday are simply internal audits of SP backups, and will not affect anyone (SP will still be online.)
Wednesday will be the beginning of system downtime while hardware and software upgrades are completed.

Hello everyone...
First off, Happy New Year to everyone!
It looks like we are a go for the software and hardware upgrades to proceed. As has been stated, the site should be going down sometime tomorrow (January 7, 2009). We don't know exactly what time it will be. It will start once we have all the backups and other audits completed to ensure no loss of data.
The site should be down for somewhere between 24-48 hours while we rebuild the database (which is massive!), install the updates and swap out some equipment on the servers that needs to be replaced. We don't anticipate it taking any longer than 48 hours, but we never know what will happen once the process starts.
Everyone keep your fingers crossed and hopefully we'll be back up and running with better software and hardware sometime on or before January 9, 2009.
