What's the point of deleting chat threads right away?

it bugs me when the superiorpis corner is loaded with locked chat threads. it's my OCD.

Can't you delete it a day later? The corner has been loaded up forever. Look at Snoop's cleanup a few posts above.

I usually wait a couple of hours. Some never do it. It's the staff member's choice if/when they do it, really

Personally, I never delete old Chat threads when I make new ones.

I think part of the issue is often times, content in the Chat threads doesn't necessarily fall in line with the rest of the forum. Mainly because it is assumed that the threads will be deleted soon anyway.

IMHO, regardless, there is really no point in keeping old chat threads.

How about unbanning some sources? There's plenty of outdated bans in place. Like FHM contacted us, like 7 years ago?

We've already been over this. If someone bans us from posting their content then that's it, we can't post it. It doesn't matter how much time has went past. FHM is still going too so it's not as if it's a dead company/magazine and they won't contact us again.

As this is an open forum and comes up on pretty much the first page of any google search we can't risk posting sources that have previously been banned.
We still regularly get contacted by people demanding that we remove their images. Video links still get reported by record/film companies and then they get deleted from the filehost and the uploaders account gets deleted (which is why I no longer post videos)

How about fixing internal forum issues? This place is becoming very unbearable to use, especially to post. So much loading time and sometimes time-outs. Even if that means a few days of downtime, so be it.

A board that's allowed to be broken and malfunctioning more often that it works properly, is not smart. If the owners actually care about this board and/or the money it makes them, perhaps they should realize that shit that doesn't work drives off the people that are already here and doesn't impress casual visitors or future members. Especially when there are half a dozen very similar boards on the web that function properly and have less restrictions. People are significantly less likely to comment or upload content when they know they will probably get either a time-out, a page that just won't load, or a double or triple post. And no one is going to click on an add on a site that frustrates the hell out of them.

I'm on the verge of waving goodbye to this place, and I know I'm not the only one. I can get most of what I get here (content, entertainment), elsewhere. I'll miss most of the people, but I won't miss the wasted time, the hassle, or the frustration. And I certainly won't miss people in charge who couldn't be bothered to give a fuck about taking care of an investment... or whatever they see this place as.
