You don't get SP_Cop's role. His job is not to moderate in the sense that someone like JT does. His job is to keep the lawyers away. You need to remember that SP is a business, not a hobby, to the site owner.

I do I just don't think SP_COP's role is necessary
The regular moderators enforce the rules which should keep the lawyers away. SP_COP just creates an 'us and them' attitude between the administration and the forum at large.
His presense and reckless action is likely to drive potential new posters away which is just as detrimental to the forum as someone accidentally posting FHM pictures.
More so in fact, the FHM pictures can be deleted (by Cam, JT or a 'regular' mod) but posters who have been turned away from the forum, cannot be coaxed back by wishful thinking.

MT, your comments are definately logical and I agree with you for the most part, but steve_admin is the one that wants him here. He's here to stay I'm affraid. I hope that this thread doesn't turn into another SP_COP hate thread, I would hate to close it.

I realise that
It's just good to get these things off your chest, and who knows, maybe someday steve_admin will eventually see the light and change things
as for the SP_COP hate, while I do totally disagree with the entire concept of SP_COP on a basic, fundamental level, hopefully people will realise that any insults I hurl his way, are thrown with my tongue planted firmly in my cheek.
