Assuming that your school allows you to access your school email account from home, you would need to tell your email account how to connect to it (i.e., where to look). In MicroSoft Outlook that would mean setting up a "new account" (Tools -> E-mail Accounts -> Add a new e-mail account). You would need info from the school no matter what so I would suggest talking to someone there. They can give you the info you'll need and talk you thru adding a new email account to whatever software you are using.

DTravel has already given you the first step.

A lot of Colleges and Universities use Windows Exchange for their public email and that uses IMAP. You'll notice when you add a new email account that your software will allow you to choose between POP3, IMAP and HTML (I think those are the only options with most), select IMAP and use the EXACT location of the login page as the server address.

Also, you could just manually login into your email using your favorite web browser by just browsing to that login page. If you don't know the login page you can usually navigate to it from the main page. If you still can't find it. Contact your school for assistance.

No I don't. Some details of your "email account" of your school would be quite helpful, or if you posted your school maybe some of us are (were) alumni.

You do need internet access to get school email from home. Try finding your school webpage and see if there is a "current students" page or Email page, sometiems you log in from there like on hotmail.

Back in my day [/grandpa] we had a VAX. I telnetted into my school's IP and had free run of the network.
