Try watching "Alone in the Dark" ... worst movie I've ever seen.

Tara Reid is described as "a young genius anthropologist with an incredible memory." We know she's a genius because she wears glasses at the beginning of the movie. Of course, she sheds her glasses a few scenes in, and never dons them again.
