as for the Muskett movie - if you saw the pilot of Charlies Angels, how each of 'em got their "little introduction bit" which were meant to relate/demonstrate their ultra-coolness and ultra-expertiseness, but which just came across as "oh puhlease, I'm not buying this one iota, or even one jot (which is less than an iota)", weeeelll the start of Muskets mirrored this, and (being the person I am) the movie couldn't recover from that. Maybe it's like going on a date and the first thing she says is "by the way, I was born with a penis". Maybe other people are better than me, but that info would kinda affect the whole evening. (ish).
