Many fans consider A Storm of Swords to be the best of the Ice & Fire novels. I think it's my favorite as well.
I'm really curious to see where it goes. Especially after some of the cliffhangers in A Clash of Kings. I've heard it's one of the more downer books in the series too. Regardless, I'm enjoying the hell out of it.

The 1100+ pages are just a little daunting. They do fly by quickly though. grin

There have been a few gotcha moments that made me want to find Martin and knock his lights out. giggle
