The new search mod has been installed and is operational. The speed of the search now matches the speed of the rest of the forum although they are run on completely different machines.
Before you rush into a search and get a little bedazzled by all of the replies you see, you need to fine tune the search to meet your needs. This area in particular.
I think the options pretty much speak for themselves, but if you're not paying attention to what is checked off, you will not get your desired results. Ensure that you are telling the Search form exactly how it is you want the results displayed. As always make sure that the Date Range: options are appropriately changed to reflect the range you wish to search in. The default is 1 Week(s) so you will need to change it manually if you wish to search beyond that range.

what's up with the "last 24, 48 hours" searches? When I search for last 48, it gives me every post and reply for 300 posts. Since it gives all replies, it only covers about 3 hours and is very cumbersome, and contains very few actual picture posts...any ideas?

Active topics will give you every thread that was generated in the past 24 hours, WITHOUT the replies.

ok. Was enjoying the ability in the past to be able to just view the last 48 hours of picture posts, without all the old posts that have gotten bumped. The view last 24, 48, etc are practically useless when there is a "increase your post count here" chat session.

The site seems to be loading ALOT faster now too. Dont know if this has something to do with it, but thanks man.

Of course you can, that function is just not set to show them by default anymore as it was annoying a lot of users.

I'm trying to search for my own replies but I can't get it to work. It was working for one day yesterday.
