I've tried Media Upload a few days ago. And I don't understand why it is on the allowed-list. Here are the FAQ! Or not? It is too complicated to handle. And I've uploaded a big picture and it looks like sh*t and is much too small at Media Upload.

Photobucket will be considered. Does it work with downthemall extension for firefox? (it did in the past).

Photobucket, works with DTA , but resizes everyting to 512 Kb for the free account. Larger imagesizes only with paid accounts.

I don't know about photobucket. It seems that the big benifits come from paid users of photobucket, since free users get 2,500 MB monthly bandwidth (site leechers will suck that dry on a decent post)
max image size 512 KB.
What is the point? What are the good qualities to photobucket?

Not all of us have access to HQ/UHQ pics, but we can still post. There's plenty of pics out there which are great and measure less than 512k.
For example:

For those like me, it works just fine. What's the point in banning it altogether?
Let's call it a MQ/LQ Imagehost option.

The imagehosts in the list all provide free imagehosting without the limitation of such a small size. MQ/LQ pictures can be hosted in any one of them. What's the reason for adding this then?

That it was not banned before and those who use it dont see why not doing so anymore thus having to move their collections elsewhere.
I could ask why not adding it? After all, it was sustracted for no real reason.

One reason is because I've seen way too many "Broadband exceeded" signs on photobucket images. That's not reliable.
