Chelsea Football Club is delighted to confirm that Luiz Felipe Scolari will be the club's new manager from July 1, 2008.
Felipe has great qualities. He is one of the world's top coaches with a record of success at country and club level, he gets the best out of a talented squad of players and his ambitions and expectations match ours. He was the outstanding choice.
Out of respect for his current role as Head Coach of the Portuguese national team, and to ensure minimum disruption to this work, there will be no further comment from Chelsea FC nor from Felipe about his new role until his employment with us commences.

Holy crap at the finish to the Turkey/Czech Republic game - the Czechs go 2-0 up, Turkey come back, Cech drops the ball to allow Turkey to equalise, an absolute rocket for the winner, and the Turkish keeper gets sent off for shoving Jan Koller. Absolute drama.

Tonight was the last game of Luiz Felipe Scolari as portuguise team manager.  Portugal lost in the quarterfinal 2:3 against Germany. Goals by Schweinsteiger, Klose, Nuno Gomez, Ballack and ?.
And it looked like Scolari likes Bastian Schweinsteiger very much. Maybe Schweini playes for Chelsea in the future?

After his defeat, Ronaldo was asked by the press about his future. He answered elusively, but reading between the lines it can be understood that he's going to play for Real Madrid and will announce that in two days.

HOLY FREAKIN' CRAP!!! 
Did anyone else see the Turkey/Croatia match yesterday? I swear, that Turkish side simply refuses to die! Whenever they allow a goal it's like someone lights a stick of dynamite in their asses! As a fan of Germany I remain confident of our chances for victory heading into the semis, especially with Turkey suffering from a rash of injuries and suspensions ... but then again, I'm sure that's how Croatia felt before the quarters! Either way, it ought to be one helluva show!
