Thank God for San Antonio in the West. Without them the East might be winning them all after Kobe and Shaq split ways. Detroit and Cleveland were probably 2nd and 3rd best teams this year.

Definitely the best team, and probably the second best were in the East...what a shock. That doesn't change the fact the east as a whole was weaker than the west.
..and  at Cleveland 3rd best.

The weak Eastern Conference didn't win anything. A strong team in the weak Eastern Conference won the title.

Heck Atlanta did better against Boston then the Leakers did.

They just have more HEART than the West generally and thats gonna win championships more than your so called "strength"

Boston might have been in a weak conference but they were the strongest team in the NBA all season. They earned the title.

Boston & Detroit are the only teams that could hang with the West, the rest of the conference is straight ass. And as for Atlanta, the Celtics played better as the playoffs progressed. Boston learned from their mistakes in the first two rounds and got it better against Detroit and LA.

The West has higher scoring non-defensive teams that look better in the regular season. But when it comes down to the playoffs the East has the tougher defensive minded teams which in the end prevail. The only team that's come through for the West since Kobe and Shaq led Lakers is San Antonio, again a tough defensive minded team.
Detroit and Cleveland could hang with any team from the West. No doubt about it.

Well as the saying goes, defense wins championships.
There's no doubt in my mind Detroit & Boston (obviously) can hang in the West but Cleveland.. I dont think so. They just dont have enough talent around LeBron. Houston is also a very good defensive team, if only they can stay healthy, they'd be deadly.
As for the Lakers, I'll take the positive out of this series as it was exposed that we are soft as hell, rumor has it the Lakers are after Ron Artest to address that. Bynum's return should also help out our defense.

It's all about the individual teams, this isn't the all-star game. The Celtics should have won and showed that they are a much better team than what they showed early in the playoffs. It's really easy to collapse and be eliminated if you play under potential.
