And if they make Theodor Long Raw GM then it will be even worse. I thought what they were doing with Regal was great.

I was thinking the same thing. Jeff may get other chances because of his popularity and youth but Regal may have just screwed himself royally. *no pun intended*

GODDAMNIT.
I so hope this doesn't kill his push, because I'm dead serious when I say that King Regal was my favorite thing in the entire company.

Judgement Day Thoughts
Not the worst PPV I've ever seen, although there was a lot of boring stuff.
John Cena in PPV Opener. I guess I'm on my own in thinking that JBL vs. John Cena was fantastic. Those boots and punches from Bradshaw were nasty, and I loved the bearhug, leg scissors and full nelson combination.
The tag title match was not that great, but at least was exciting at points. The ending annoyed me though, as there was clearly dissension in the ranks between Punk and Kane, and the cameras decided to completely ignore it. I think we are beginning to see how Punk is going to cash in that MitB, as if it wasn't obvious enough already.
Jericho vs. HBK was great fun. Both guys just went all out to beat each other, using every single trick that they had. Of course, HBK has more tricks than Jericho. I thought they were going to completely rip off the ending of their match at Wrestlemania XIX, but kudos for actually having a clean handshake between the two men. Also liked the ending little bit. Been seen loads of times before, but in the context of this match, it worked pretty well as an ending.
The women's match was much better than I expected. Just loaded with stuff. Beth's Double Backbreaker move was cool as hell.
When both men went over the railing in the World Title match, I knew that they were going for the count out finish, but wasn't sure whether it'd be double, or Undertaker winning. The first few minutes of this one played out like every Taker match you're going to see, but the match went pretty well after that. Didn't believe for a second that Edge had a chance in hell of winning this match. Probably the worst of their matches so far, but still a good match.
Not happy with the jobbing of MVP to Jeff Hardy. It does the guy absolutely no good at all. Also lost in pretty convincing fashion. Didn't even get to job to his finisher. But after the Umaga match last week, it seems the Whisper in the Wind is being set up as a finisher. Which I'm not a big fan of, because it doesn't exactly look lethal. Oh, and because it never ever looks like it even gets within two feet of connecting with Jeff's opponents. I guess it keeps Jeff Hardy going strong.
The cage match was slow, but engaging enough to keep me interested. Once again, I just didn't believe the challenger had a chance in hell of winning outside of the climb out chances. Shame that, as when the match started, I thought Orton had a chance. As the match went on, it became more and more obvious that Orton was going to lose. It's been a while since I've seen two guys try and escape, and actually bought into the idea that one of the guys getting out as a result. As I said, engaging match, if a bit slow.
So I didn't think there was much wrong with the show. Boring at times, but nothing was actively bad.

Wow, Mickie's boobs are almost in 3D.

RAW Thoughts,
Very lively, energetic show I thought. There was nothing offensive and there always seemed to be something of interest surfacing.
Though I now see why they went with the Regal firing angle, at the time I didn't care much for Vince McMahon's intervention. And what the f*ck was Kennedy doing on the mic when Vince came out? "OH! UUUH OHH!! UHH OHH!!"...What the? After Vince gave Regal his blessing last week he now changes his mind? Boo. And Kennedy still has the worst finisher, even though Regal sold it like a KING!
For the love of god Million Dollar Man better be the GM and bring in Ted Jr. to rule the world.
I would have loved something with Cade and Murdoch after last week's turn.
Jeff and Umaga always put on entertaining contests. It's easy to get behind Jeff because of the effort he consistently puts in while it's easy to fear for his safety and wellbeing because Umaga is just a motherf*cking beast. That spinning side slam was f*cking great out on the floor. Jeff's working hard now that he's back, but because he's already a 2-strike offender I honestly think Jeff will stay mid to high card material, possibly grabbing the IC title when Jericho moves over to SD. I eagerly await their falls count anywhere match at ONS, as they have fantastic chemistry together, and without any constraints on them, they should have their best match yet.
Mickie vs Katie would still make for an ace contest - if only because it gets our girl Katie on TV on a regular basis and adds another face to the stale Raw womens division. I like Paul Burchill but Katie is ten times more interesting as a character. Katie is one of the most well rounded and experienced girls they have on their roster and absolutely should be working a prominent spot in my opinion.
....and, hey, who knows, Britain may soon have that World champion we have all been craving for so long. I, for one, truly believe she deserves it.
Staying with the ladies, Beth is like the women's division version of Umaga in that she's a damned beast (I mean that in the nicest possible way) who just murderdeathkills everybody.
Batista-Jericho was good as well, and Batista getting a near fall off the clothesline reminded me of when he used the clothesline in '04 as a knockout shot against Jericho on Raw. Jericho's roll of good matches continued tonight, and I like how they set up Batista-HBK, although I'm not a fan of stretcher matches, it does make sense given that Batista said he would hurt HBK when he got the chance. The dueling Knee Injuries of Dubious Fakery were great. I wish they'd make a 3-way with them two and HBK and just have an entire match with everybody selling the knee.
The entire Santino segment was fucking awesome, especially Simmons appearing on the Titantron in the background for about 4 seconds to say "DAMN!". If this feud gets national attention through Kimmel then all is well. I loved how after the cake Santino apparently touched Lillian's boob as she flipped out over cake on one of them. That was grand.
Line of the decade from Santino.
"Hey, I'll have you know that 4th graders are maturing very early these days! I have pictures......"
Cena and HHH was Orton and JBL was exactly what you thought it'd be - a vehicle to make Cena look weak and HHH look strong, with Cena taking the fall.
ONS is shaping up to be a decent enough show.
Quotes -
(Hardy comes out)J.R. - It’s like when you walk into a mall in Memphis - a standing ovation! King - ABSOLUTELY! (Umaga comes out)King - Here’s a man who loves to put young men flat on their back. Regal - In just 2 weeks time, WWE will present ONS - an event consisting of entirely Extreme Rules matches. Jeff Hardy will once again face Umaga, in a falls count anywhere match. Randy Orton and JBL, good evening gentlemen. Now Randy, you would like a rematch against HHH, and JBL, you would also like a match against Cena. Well tonight, the two of you will be teaming up, facing HHH and Cena! If you win, you’ll get your rematches, and you’ll get to choose the kind of extreme rules matches that you’re in, but if Cena and HHH win, they will face each other at ONS in an extreme rules match of my choosing. Thank you, gentlemen. As your king and GM, I would like to tell you… (Kennedy’s theme hits) King -Oh no, GMs don’t like being interrupted, and Kings hate it! Kennedy - There’s this question I’ve been asking since KotR, and I’m gonna ask you again - you versus me…one on one…tonight! Come on, what’s it gonna be! Yes or no? Regal - You don’t get it - you’re not my equal - I don’t take challenges from common wrestlers. The very next person who interrupts me will be fired on the spot because I am your superior, I AM YOUR KING! (Vince comes out) Kennedy - YOU SHOULDN’A DONE THAT! Go ahead, FIRE HIM! COME ON! GO ON! Vince - SHUT UP! Mr. Regal, I gave you my 100% endorsement. Ever since I gave you that, we have received, as a result of your decisions, more viewer complains than ever in our history! I know you don’t care what they think about you, but what I care about is the MONEEEYYY! Regal - As a businessman, you have to take a step back to take two steps forward. Vince - I’m talking ratings! We’re the highest-rated show in ALL OF CABLE, but when you appear on air, the ratings plummet. We get the minute by minute ratings, and when you go on the air, they fall, and when you stay on, they fall even further. In the interest in fairness, I think we have to make up our mind. You want Kennedy gone? Quite frankly, I do too! (to Kennedy)I don’t like you! But all the TV viewers, they want YOU gone! So tonight, we’re gonna have Regal vs. Kennedy, and the loser of the match WILL BE GONE! AS IN FIRED! Santino - LOOK AT ME, I RODNEY THE PIPER! A MAN WHO DEFEATED A FAT TRANSVESTITE AT WRESTLEMANIA III IN HIS RETIREMENT MATCH! IT’S JUST LIKE I ALWAYS SAY - WHEN YOU THINK YOU KNOW THE ANSWERS, I BABBLE INCOHERENTLY LIKE A LUNATIC! I AM SICK OF THAT CRAZY LUNATIC! LOOK AT HOW HE EMBARRASSED SANTINO ON THE NATIONAL TELEVISION! I AM VERY LGAD YOU FIND THAT AMUSING! YOU KNOW WHO THAT PUNK WAS WHO ASSAULTED ME? COUSIN SAL - THE COUSIN OF JOHNNY THE CAMEL! SINCE THIS IS MY PIT OF THE PIPER! COUSIN SALVATORE! WELCOME, MY MERRY LITTLE PRANKSTER! ACCORDING TO YOUR MEAL TICKET, YOU IDOLIZED RODNEY THE PIPER WHEN YOU GROWED UP - WHAT WAS IT THAT YOU IDOLIZED? HIS FAILURE TO BECOME WORLD CHAMPION? THE WAY HE LIKED TO CROUCH DOWN? OR MAYBE IT WAS HIS STRING OF HORRIBLE MOVIES? What was it you liked about Rodney the Piper? Sal - The thing I admired about him the most was the ability to back up everything he said, which is the opposite of everything you did. You said you’d become tag champion, you didn’t. Santino - I’m working on that! Sal - You said you’d beat up Stone Cold, and you didn’t. Sanitno - IT WAS A DRAW! Sal - You said you slept with a Playboy cover girl, I asked Maria, and she said you were hung like a fourth grader! Simmons - DAMN! Santino - Hey, I'll have you know that 4th graders are maturing very early these days! I HAVE PICTURES! NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC! THAT’S NOT THE POINT! This isn’t a birthday cake, like the one you pushed into my face, it’s an apology cake. It says I’m sorry. Sal - Wow, you spelled that right. (Piper shows up, shoves the cake in Santino’s face) Santino - YOU THINK YOU’RE SO FUNNY? HOW ABOUT YOU HAVE A MATCH WITH ME!? Piper - YOU WANT A MATCH WITH MY PAL, SAL? YOU GOT IT! Santino - I HATE YOU! (on Cade’s attack)King - Maybe Cade just doesn’t like country music - could that be it? J.R. - Is there any other kind? J.R. - Regal isn’t just the GM of the number one-rated show in cable TV, he’s the king of the ENTIRE WWE! J.R. - This is now a No DQ someone’s gonna be fired match…never said that before. HHH - There’s a lot of change in WWE, but there’s always one constant - ME BEING THE BEST THIS BUSINESS HAS TO OFFER! J.R. - KEMPER ARENA ERUPTS AT THE SIGHT OF JOHN CENA! J.R. - WWE Magazine has an amazing article on how HHH could exceed Ric Flair’s 16 world titles. JBL - One Night Stand, Cena, you and me, FIRST BLOOD! Orton - HHH, I’m gonna take back my WWE Title THE SAME WAY THAT I WON IT FROM YOU IN THE FIRST PLACE! A LAST MAN STANDING MATCH! J.R. - Oh Hell - EXTREME RULES!
